EOTY 2011 Presentation at ACI AGM 2011 (M P Ruud)

As announced from the Board during the AGM in Versailles the new Event Of The Year (EOTY) contract and guidelines are now made available for the Delegates through the ACI web site.

The ACI Board warmly welcomes the new ACI Editorial team: Ales Krajncan (ACI Delegate Slovenija) and Morten P Ruud (ACI Delegate Norway) have offered their support to take over the Editorial works for the ACI website.

Both Ales and Morten have quite some good knowledge in maintaining the web-based content management system so the ACI is convinced to have continuity in the communication over the web. They are supported by ACI Board member and secretary Jens Moller Nicolaisen (Denmark), and follow up on Stephan Joest (Germany) who terminated his Communication activities for the ACI Board a few days ago but has offered to assist in migrating the works and server to the new responsibles.

We are sure that both can count on your support in their works…!

we warmly welcome Marc Roelandt as a new ACI Delegate for Belgium. He has been elected by the Amicale belge des Clubs Citroën (ABCC) on September 6th 2010. He replaces Dieter Pétré who resigned in January this year.

Mr. Roelandt is a former chairman of the DS/SM Club (for nine years), and was already involved in the organising committee for the 11th ICCCR held at Chevetogne in 1998. Recently he was the secretary of the committee that organised the ACI Event of the Year 2010, “Citroën Story 2010″ at the Zolder racetrack, and with success.

The new contact for our nordic neighbors is Mr. Juha Juurikkala who is at the same time the recent President of the club. He now represents together with Jukka Isomäki the ACI.

Antti Pitkänen who has been our contact for many years, has cancelled his availability. We thank him for all the work he has done to promote the ACI in his country and region to the clubs and their members.

For those of you coming by car, there is some navigation documentation on our ACI website, in the “Downloads” section and also attached to this email as PDF:

ACI Newsletter 2007/04: Access To Conservatoire (PDF)

* Saturday, at 15:00h the Conservatoire will open for a coffee; the AGM will start sharp at 15:30h.

* For those of you attending the Retromobile exhibition in Paris earlier that Saturday, we have organized a bus transfer for Delegates from Retro to Conservatoire.
You should queue up at the ACI booth (our booth will be on the Citroen club booth) no later than 13:45h because a bus will leave at 2pm towards the Conservatoire.

* After the AGM has taken place, ca. after 6pm, there will be an opportunity to visit the freshly arranged display of cars in the Conservatoire.

* From 20:30h – 23:00h there will be a dinner in the Citroen Aulnay factory restaurant nearby for the attendees.

* After end of dinner, we organized a bus transfer back to Paris Porte De Versailles (i.e. Retromobile fairground) and maybe stop on one or two other stops in Paris if needed (we will sort that out during the day).

* For those of you presenting eg. event info via electronic media (eg. USB stick, DVD etc.) – we kindly ask you to arrive ca. 1hr earlier, i.e. at 14:30h so we can make sure all technicalities are solved beforehand and we don’t lose time on SW installation etc. during the AGM.
Alternatively, you can mail us your presentation no later than 13-Jan-2010 so we can embed it onto our computer.

* Please all be prepared to present your country and local ACI activities within 60 seconds, so we get to learn each other (If 2 Delegates of one country or region are present, please appoint 1 to present). What’s good, what bad, problems etc.

* We also constantly look for new candidates and projects for the “ACI Event Of The Year”. 2013 seems to be far away but for an EOTY organizer is is not, many things are to be prepared… Maybe you have already discussed with your local clubs about potential candidates?

Travel And Accomodation:

Please talk to your local Citroën affiliate about your trip to the Annual General Meeting.
The local affiliate should be able to assist the Amicale Citroën Internationale Delegates with travel arrangements or by refunding travel expenses.

I want to inform you that Holland has two new delegates. Daan Vreeken cancelled and after 6 years being a delegate it is time for me to change.

The new delegates are:
