During the AGM 2017, the grandson of company founder André Citroën had been appointed as the first “ACI Ambassador”. In his role he is representing the ACI and its goals and mission on an international level.
The ACI Delegates have warmly welcomed the appointment and welcome the support by a member of the Citroën family for the ambition of Citroën enthusiasts around the world.
Selection Process for ACI Delegates
The selection of the two ACI Delegates for a Country or Region shall be determined by the Citroen clubs operating within that Country or Region.
The process for selection shall be as follows:
· Single Club in a Country or Region: In countries with only one Citroen club, that club shall have the sole responsibility for selecting the two ACI Delegates.
· Multiple Clubs in a Country or Region: In countries with multiple Citroen clubs, the clubs shall collectively determine the method for selecting the two ACI Delegates. This method may include election, nomination, or other processes as agreed upon by the clubs. The selected delegates must represent the interests of the majority or all of the clubs in that country or region.
For redundancy reasons, each country should have 2 Delegates. Both are stand-in for each other, and should check regularly the information they obtained.
The specific process for selection, including the timeline and any eligibility criteria for candidates, shall be established by the clubs in accordance with their internal procedures and in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. The selection process must be conducted in a transparent and fair manner, ensuring that all clubs have the opportunity to participate.
The term of office for the ACI Delegates shall be decided by the clubs in country, with the understanding that it can be flexibly determined depending on the local reasons (e.g., annually, biennially, or for longer terms as determined by the clubs).
Once the selection process is complete, the names and contact details of the selected Delegates shall be submitted to the ACI.
The newly selected Delegates then also should confirm to the ACI Board that they act on behalf of the club(s) in their country, and also confirm that they are willing to act bi-directional, i.e. as interface from the ACI to their clubs, and also from the clubs towards the ACI.
All information spread by ACI must be distributed to all the clubs and the information should not get stuck at just the Delegate’s, and vice versa from the clubs to the ACI.
Any changes to the Delegates should be done in a similar process like described above, and the changes then also should be communicated to the ACI with immediate effect.
