This is a challenge as André Citroën would certainly have liked it: to rebuild the “Golden Scarab” (“Scarabée d’Or”), world’s first vehicle to cross the Sahara in 1922.
This is the ambitious project proposed to students by the French Association Of Cars & Men (“L’Association Des Voitures & des Hommes”) in partnership with the Museum of Arts and Crafts and with Citroën Heritage.

It is now the time to realize within the next 3 years a dream of committed enthusiasts around this educational project. The goal is to have the vehicle ready until the 100 years of Citroën in 2019.

Via our Board member and ACI France representative Laurent Moret de Rocheprise who is member of the association, we will follow the progress of this ambitious project and will keep you updated over time.
