As the key club responsible for the Citroën enthusiasts in Chile, and the interface to ACI internationally, the “Citroamigos” are unknown to many of us. Thus we asked our contact Patricio Cardemil to share with us – and you – more details about their activities:

“…Born in 2008 as a group that sought to enjoy our 2CV and become a group of friends with the same passion, which is the taste for 2 CV. Everyone is welcome to this group, regardless of their socioeconomic, cultural, political or religious condition.

As the name of this group says, the main objective is to enjoy harmoniously the hobby that moves us. Our actions and activities are non-profit, work for the Citroneta to be declared a Mobile Heritage.

We are 25 partners, several of which have more than two 2 CVs, and we can say that our club has all 2cv models, from the Az of 1957 to such exotic models of Chilean manufacture as the Yagan or French as the Mehari, Dyane 6 or Azelle.

Among the activities we carry out are family meetings, cultural interventions and social actions.

In our 10 years of existence, we have crossed the routes of our country from North to South; attended the 13 National Meeting of 2 CV and in 2013 it was our turn to organize the 8th Meeting and this year we have been elected to organize the next XIV National Meeting in November 2019.

On November 1, the National / International meeting was held in the city of Puerto Montt, distant 1,200 kilometers from the capital Santiago of Chile. More than 70 2 CVs and derivatives from Chile, Argentina and Uruguay arrived at that meeting. They were 3 days of friendship and entertainment, independent of the rain and cold of that area.

Some photos of the mentioned meeting are attached

Our greeting to all ACI members from Chili.

Patricio CARDEMIL.”
